ABC? The same ABC that recently canceled their last twisted fairy tale series?

Oh my….please no.

I love that series, I can’t take anymore butchering of my favorite serials :(

Yeah, I’m very wary of this project. Like a friend of mine said, Fables would be much better suited to HBO or Showtime, or even Bravo. I can’t imagine, if this gets picked up as a series, how they’re going to deal with Bigby and Snow’s pups.

I love Fables. I’ve finally caught up with the monthlies…and this news terrifies me. On the one hand, I’d be stoked to see this on screen…on the other, so many things could go wrong. Bad special effects, crap story adaptation (good point about Bigby and Snow’s kids) and most of all, terrible casting choices.

Oh gosh, I can imagine some horrible casting choices.

I’ve always heard Dougray Scott’s voice in my head while reading Bigby. I think if you got him shaggy enough, that might work… I’m not sure who I’d cast as anyone else, though. Snow’s going to be a tough one. She’s sharp and smart and lovely, but so cold. That might be tough to pull off without coming off as just being bitchy.

Hmm, Dougray Scott could work, I can see that.

Call me crazy, but I could see a Rose McGowan in the role. She certainly looks the part, and I have some faith in her acting ability since the Grindhouse flicks…I dunno if she could pull off cool, powerful bitch Snow though.

Come to think of it, she could be an excellent Rose Red! Hehe.

I worry about them all, Boy Blue, Pinocchio (oh goodness, who would they get for him?)…especially on an ABC budget. Gaah.
